Zirconium Dioxide (Ceramic)

Description

I decided I wanted to do a ceramic shader. Here's my result.:D The specific type of ceramic that I made is Zirconium Dioxide. This is the kind that's found in ceramic knives. It's actually a powder, but it gets pressed and fired and then polished. It's very strong, but also very brittle. It generally has 3 classes, based on the firing temperature. monoclinic, tetragonal, and cubic. I'm sure you've heard the term "cubic zirconium" at one point. Don't quote me on it, but I believe that the cubic class is the strongest because of the incredibly high firing temperature. It can snap easier than a steel knife, but it doesn't react to any acids because it's a very neutral substance. That's why it's commonly used to make kitchen knives. Anyhow, scientific jargon aside, this was made in Blender 2.74.5 and rendered in Cycles. Yes, that's right, I started using test builds.:P They crash. A lot. But for some reason, I don't care.
